At release in 1985 the brand paired up with several top-tier schools to create colourways that matched the team uniforms. This campaign catapulted the Dunk onto the radar of both college athletes andstudentsoncampus.

The colours of white andred are those of St John's University in Queens, New York. The iconic combination was part of the original Be True lineup, albeit on a Dunk Hi (like all of the OGs).
